...and I must try this variation on Pinterest using the same masking technique --- perhaps I can modify it for a Thanksgiving card:

I needed some get well cards and I finally had a chance to use my new Posy Trio bear set from Lili of the Valley:

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Dragonfly Dies, Halloween
and the Very Best of Pinterest Pins

I bought a new dragonfly die from Spellbinders called Dragon Delight using my 40% off Cut at Home VIP coupon this month:

These are the very first cards I made with it:

SENTIMENTS:
Signature Greetings by Papertrey Ink
Wavy Wishes by Hero Arts

I also tried this same layout idea using the butterfly dies from Memory Box called Isabella Butterfly (solid butterfly blue layer) and Rhone Butterfly Wings (lacy butterfly white layer):

This was my Pinterest pin inspiration card:

handmade card from stamping up north ... white and mint ...background on top of printed paper ... wide punched trellis border ... dragonfly die cuts ... beautiful!

I'm starting to think about Halloween projects and this easy candy popper treat from Chic'n Scratch caught my eye:

She has included a video HERE and a nice set of written instructions HERE. Her project uses a 4.5" x 6" piece of DSP scored along the 4.5" side at 1", 2", 3" and 4". It makes a nice little box to hold a few sweet treats. I made these two up in no time using the envelope punch board, SU's oval punch and Martha Stewart's bat punch:

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
One Sheet Bags and Boxes
from the
Very Best of Pinterest Pins

My college roommate from nearly 40 years ago is coming soon to visit and I'm already planning some surprises for her. This first clever idea from Pootles will be the perfect thing to hold some of these surprises...PLUS...the best part of all....these three items were made from only one sheet of DSP!

3 Bags from one sheet of Stampin' Up! UK Designer Series Paper (Tutorial!)

She has a wonderful video tutorial  HERE and all of the measurements are on her blog if you click HERE. The picture below shows how to cut the one sheet of 12" x 12" DSP:

Here is my version of this project below. I'll need to put ribbon and embellishments on the bag and box after I add the small gifts.
